MATH-GIFTS ON A BUDGET

I hope you all enjoyed making the trendy scarves! They are a great idea and fun to make. Thank you Anissa for the sharing the idea.
Christmas can be a stressful time of year when it comes to buying gifts. It is a task that can come with great anxiety. There are a few tricks that I use to make gift buying more fun and easier on the checkbook.
The first trick is to start early. My Black Friday is the day after Christmas. The deals are amazing. You can pick up gifts for secret Santa exchanges, stocking stuffers, and gifts for the neighbors for as little as $1.00!
The next trick is to keep your ears open. When you hear someone mention something they like you can keep an eye out for the item. When you have months to shop you can often find the perfect gift on sale for less then what it will be in December.
Shop the clearance sections of stores. Every store has an area where you can find items that have been discontinued, are surplus, or are out of season. This is a great area to find fun gift ideas for a bargain.
The last trick I use is to pick one craft and one baked item to make each year for friends, neighbors, or family. By focusing on one craft you are able to give everyone something unique and not have to worry if you gave someone the same homemade item last year. Homemade crafts and goodies make people feel special and can often be made at a low cost.
I hope some of these tricks will come in handy during your gift buying adventures. Happy shopping and remember the reason for the season.

Sociology-Service Projects

We had a great night! Thank you for your generosity and time. Children you will never know or meet will have a Christmas box full of wonderful items and hear about God's love. Other children will find comfort and security in the warm, cozy blankets that were tied with love. Last but not least, our servicemen and women will be able to send their love and thoughts home because of the care you put into making cards. We give God all the glory for the gifts and abilities he has given us when we provide these items of comfort and joy to people in our own community and around the world. Thanks for coming, for sharing in a great time of fellowship, and for caring for others through MOPS.

1 John 4:7 Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
